Lonely Planet’s Best Value Destinations for 2013

Lonely Planet just released a list of their top 10 value destinations for 2013, as part of their series of lists for the coming year. Some of the listed locations took us a bit by surprise (Portland can be cheap, but not necessarily compared to other places). Others, like Spain, we’ve been to and loved. Still others are ones we’ve never seen, but would like to, like Rio de Janeiro or Slovenia. What do you think of this year’s value destination list?
